It’s being billed as the latest way to help people kick the habit. Like many approaches to fighting the addiction of nicotine, I am not certain if it will work, but it might serve as an added weapon for those frustrated by other methods that have failed. It’s called Zerosmoke and the concept is based on the old Eastern technique called Auricular Therapy. In Auricular Therapy, the ear is viewed as a tiny body and manipulating parts of the ear can affect the adult. In this case, the treatment works this way. The smoker places two small magnets opposite each other on the left ear for three to four hours a day for six days while continuing smoking. On the seventh day, users are shown to quit smoking without cravings. Makers of the product claim a tremendous success rate. I’m cynical of their results but it might be worth a try. By the way, leading people to kick the habit is a good way to do it.
