Lyme disease is going to be rearing its ugly head again. As soon as the weather gets warmer, the ticks come out, and when the ticks come out, you have a greater chance of transmitting the spirochete that leads to Lyme disease. Now, there is the classic rash, that bull’s-eye rash which you can see, which is a warning sign. But if you have a tick on you, and you know the tick’s there, you want to remove it, but also follow-up and see if you have symptoms or problems. In fact, if you can get the tick, show it to your doctor to see if it is the freckle-size tick that leads to Lyme.
