Can allergies cause pain? Well, yeah they can. In fact, what happens is you get so much itchiness, so much irritation, that you begin to get frustrated and it actually can cause extra innervation processes throughout the body. In other words, extra sensation, and that can cause pain. Then, of course, there is the chronic pain, the frustration of dealing with allergies. The understanding that, you know, I’m not getting through this and this is something that’s bothering me. That’s an issue as well, which can be quite serious and annoying.
