Can women weight-lift?  Absolutely.  Weightlifting is a great form of exercise.  It's good for a couple reasons.  First of all, it helps with toning, but in addition to that, when you lift weights and you are stronger, the muscles actually burns calories when you're not even working out, so you have an advantage.  That exercise and the calorie burning continues while you're resting.  Basically, you're what we call catabolic.  You're burning calories and getting that advantage all day long.  So it is an advantage of exercise; one of those hidden things that many people don't talk about or understand.
