Constipation is a problem we do see in children and when we do see it in children, we have to be particularly concerned becaue kids don't usually get constipated.  If they have that problem, I think it's essential for us to evaluate them and to try to figure out what the causes of the constipation are.  I also say it's important not to begin treating it right away with dramatic treatments.  What you want to do is deal with diet and try to deal with it that way as opposed to with medication.
